At Beyond Pulse, we’re coaches too. We know what it’s like to be busy on the pitch. The Beyond Pulse Dashboard offers a Team Captain function that allows coaches to delegate session management to a selected player or group of players on their team. This feature can be incredibly useful for coaches looking to reduce stress, improve leadership skills, and streamline their team’s training sessions.
How does it work?
A team captain is granted special permission to access the Beyond Pulse for Coaches app, which allows them to log in using their BP for Players App credentials.
They can then take charge of starting team sessions using the Coaches app, freeing up the coach to focus on other aspects of training.
Not only does this functionality relieve the coach of the stress of running sessions, but it also provides the captain with valuable leadership experience. Coaches can rest assured that post-session reports are still available, and captains can only see their own data, not the team’s overall data.
How do I set it up?
It’s important to note that players must have an activated account and must be registered as a player, not under a parent account.
Coaches can select a team captain on the dashboard by going to Manage > Teams and selecting the checkbox next to the desired player’s name.
What are the benefits of using the Team Captain function?
Reduced Stress for Coaches:
By delegating session management to a team captain, you can free up your time, reduce your stress levels, and fully focus on the training session ahead.
Improved Leadership Skills:
Being a team captain is a great opportunity for players to develop their leadership skills. By giving them responsibility for running training sessions, you’re helping them build confidence, communication skills, and decision-making abilities.
Streamlined Sessions:
When a team captain is in charge of running sessions, they can ensure that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. This can help you get more done during each training session and make the most of your time with the team.
Private Post-Session Reports:
Coaches can still receive post-session reports even when the team captain is in charge of running sessions. This helps to protect player privacy and ensure that sensitive information is not shared without consent.
