Garreth Barker Benchmarking Progress, The Player Of Tomorrow

UEFA Pro License and FA Academy Manager’s License holder Garreth (Gaz) Barker joined Tom Shields and Mark Wilson for a wonderful conversation that explored the depths professional clubs go into when creating learning environments for their young players. Beyond this, Gaz dived into the evaluation process that underpins much of what is done in the Academy environment, while also providing his unique perspective on what skills and abilities the; “Player of Tomorrow” may need to survive in an ever evolving game. There is so much in this 70 minutes for players and coaches alike. It isn’t every day you get to hear from someone with 20 years of as much history and expertise as Gaz has, and we thank him greatly for the time he shared with us.
