Lewis Robinson, Midwest United FC, Ruairi McGuinness, East Meadow SC and Ray Selvadurai, Manhattan SC, three of the United States’ most prominent youth soccer club directors joined Tom Shields and Mark Wilson for a tremendously insightful discussion around how their clubs have supported players during “Lockdown” and will continue to do so upon a safe return to the field. For any coach or club director struggling for ideas or solutions to the challenges faced in motivating players during this time, these guys shared an hour of wonderful dialogue that should help provide some guidance for you. Additionally, the benefit of staying connected to your players, generating competition through the use of the “Active Minutes Project” was also discussed.
